the Mystery of Life

In composing this instrumental number I used the first 280 nucleotides of the Longevity gene(The key is A major).
The notes of the main melody follow the following conversion methods(basically ten notes per bar).

1:Adenine is assigned to A,B,C#,D or F#.
(These notes are the chord tones of the subdominant chords(D,DM7 or D6))

2:Thymine is assigned to A,C#,E,F# or G#.
(These notes are the chord tones of the tonic chords(A,AM7 or A6))

3:Guanine is assigned to B,D,E or G#.
(These notes are the chord tones of the dominant chord(E7))

4:Cytosine is assigned to A,C#,E,F# or G#.
(These notes are the chord tones of the tonic chords(A,AM7 or A6))

I created the above conversion methods based on the chord characteristics, the base complementarity, the molecular masses of nucleotides and the numbers of hydrogen bonds.

I really like the melody for this tune. If you were to iron out some of the transitions and timing, you would have a solid piece. If you are interested, feel free to check out what my band is doing. http://www.whitewaterpassband.com. Rock on!
